Miller retires after 23 years; Wichlacz semi-retires after more than 45 years

CHEBOYGAN, Mich., — Citizens National Bank has named Amy Peterman senior vice president and chief operating officer, while longtime employees Michelle Miller and Sherry Wichlacz have retired or reduced their roles with the bank.
Peterman has more than 20 years of banking leadership experience and most recently served as senior vice president and chief operations officer for Huron Community Bank. There, she led retail operations, branch administration, personal lending, business banking relationships, marketing and strategic projects.
At Citizens National Bank, Peterman will work with the executive leadership team on strategic planning, operational efficiency and growth.

Peterman said she was attracted to Citizens National Bank’s community banking focus.

Michelle Miller
Miller retired as vice president, residential banking, after 23 years with Citizens National Bank. She joined the bank in 2003 as a teller at its Indian River branch and subsequently held several branch management and residential banking positions before becoming vice president.
“As I close this chapter after 23 wonderful years at CNB, I do so with a grateful heart,” Miller said. “Beginning as a teller and retiring as Vice President, Residential Banking has been an incredible journey, but the true measure of my career isn’t found in titles, loans, or accomplishments – it’s found in the relationships I’ve been fortunate enough to build.”
Wichlacz has semi-retired after more than 45 years with Citizens National Bank and will continue working on a part-time basis. She began her career with the bank in 1978 as a proof operator trainee in the Bookkeeping Department, now known as the Support Center. After leaving in 1982, she returned in 1984 and later advanced to operations supervisor and operations officer.
“Sherry’s impact on CNB cannot be measured simply by years of service, although 45-plus years is certainly an extraordinary achievement,” Keene said. “She has been a trusted resource, mentor, and friend to countless employees throughout her career.”
The Support Center is now led by Operations Supervisor Erica McDowell.
