MINNEAPOLIS,—Associated Bank has hired Andy Miner as senior director of artificial intelligence for corporate and commercial banking.
Miner reports to Phillip Trier, executive vice president and head of corporate and commercial banking, and will lead Associated’s AI strategy for the business line, including implementation, adoption, risk oversight and data governance.
“Banking is ultimately about understanding our clients’ businesses, goals and decision-making processes,” Trier said. “Andy’s background in psychology and banking, combined with deep expertise in analytics and AI, will help us turn data into meaningful insights that strengthen client relationships and drive growth.”
Miner joins Associated from U.S. Bank, where he led the bank’s enterprise analytics function while overseeing a team of more than 60 employees. Previously, he led a global team of more than 100 employees in Target’s data organization, overseeing business intelligence and analytics across multiple departments.
“I was drawn to Associated because it’s clear the bank is making meaningful investments in the future of banking, particularly in data, analytics and artificial intelligence, with vision and commitment to creating better experiences for customers and colleagues,” Miner said.
