Troy Butler III
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., — First National Bank of Michigan has named Troy Butler III vice president and chief business development officer. He will focus on developing business relationships and supporting the bank’s growth strategy across its markets.
Butler has more than 20 years of banking experience, including commercial banking, commercial real estate lending and private wealth management. He also spent eight years outside the financial services industry as an entrepreneur, building and eventually selling two small businesses.
“Having the opportunity to step away from banking and become a business owner gave Troy a perspective that is particularly valuable to the clients we serve,” said Mike Hollander, Grand Rapids market president. “He understands firsthand the challenges, opportunities and decisions that business owners face because he has lived them himself.”
Hollander said Butler’s experience as a business owner, combined with his banking background, will provide an additional resource for the bank’s customers.
