PWSB Leads Financing for Thiensville Development

THIENSVILLE, Wis., — Port Washington State Bank is serving as the primary lender for The Meridian, an 80-unit mixed-use development planned for downtown Thiensville.

PyraMax Bank is participating in the financing. The project also is receiving support through the Village of Thiensville’s Tax Increment Financing program, Ozaukee Economic Development and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

The Meridian, being developed by The Heimat Group, will include 80 apartments and approximately 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and commercial space. The development is expected to open in the third quarter of 2027.

“This project represents exactly the kind of thoughtful, community-centered development that strengthens our local economy,” said James Schowalter, president and CEO of Port Washington State Bank. “With housing demand at historically high levels, The Meridian delivers much-needed residential options while also creating new opportunities for small businesses.”
