Northstar Bank Appoints Bigelow to Board

ANN ARBOR, Mich.,—Northstar Bank announced the appointment of Dr. Lauren Bigelow to its board of directors. The addition of Bigelow, a Southeast Michigan civic leader with more than 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, venture investment, and economic development, supports the bank’s continued growth and commitment to innovation.

Bigelow is managing partner of the Growth Capital Network and has led major foundation, university, and state programs supporting startups that have raised more than $4 billion in follow-on capital. Her work spans clean energy, fintech, AI, mobility, and B2C sectors.

She previously oversaw North American operations at Bloomberg New Energy Finance and advised Rock Ventures. She is board president of the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council, chair of the Institute for Energy Innovation, and serves on the Financial Authority Board for the Michigan Treasury. She also lectures on finance at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
