FLOYDS KNOBS, Ind.,—NWSB has hired Jay Motsinger as Relationship Development Officer at its Floyds Knobs branch. In this role, he will focus on building and strengthening relationships with customers, community partners, and businesses across Southern Indiana while supporting the bank’s continued growth.
“Jay brings a proven record of service, leadership, and integrity, along with a genuine care for people and the trust he’s earned across Southern Indiana,” NWSB President Syd Whitlock said. “He understands what it means to do business locally — to know people by name, to listen, and to build lasting relationships. His ability to connect with customers and community partners will strengthen our presence and help us better serve the Floyds Knobs area,”
Motsinger brings more than two decades of experience in leadership, customer service, and finance. He most recently served as Vice President, Finance Manager, and Minority Owner of Eddie Gilstrap Motors Inc. in Salem, where he oversaw multiple departments, implemented revenue-building strategies, and helped guide the dealership to repeated recognition as one of the top Ford locations in the state. During his tenure, the company earned Ford’s President’s Award seven out of the last nine years. His background also includes automotive finance, sales, and early-career experience as a financial advisor after earning his Series 6 and Series 7 licenses.
“I am excited to have joined NWSB and to be part of establishing the Floyds Knobs branch. The friendly staff and the way NWSB operates as a company made this an easy decision for me,” Motsinger said. “NWSB is known for its relationship-based approach, its community involvement, and its commitment to local decision-making as a true community bank. Our tagline, Banking the way you want, will fit well in Floyds Knobs — just as it does at each of our branches.”
Motsinger is a graduate of Indiana University Southeast with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is known for building strong relationships, developing teams, and leading with integrity.
